“ The service was amazing as always! The music was also particularly good, not too loud. The food was very delicious, although today's visit granted my mom and I a free meal! We sat in the restaurant area today, and I had ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box, and my mom ordered the Chicken&Steak Hibachi dinner. We get our usual house salad, miso soup and gyoza (all were very fresh and delicious) and soon comes my mom's plate. Mine seems to be running behind, which I am okay with as I am just chatting my with my mom. I didn't get her name, but she was very apologetic about my meal being mixed up and brought me the Chicken Teriyaki plate as they had made that one without looking at the rest of the order (Bento Box): So to make up for it, the Chicken Teriyaki plate was on the house! I'm very great full that Nasu staff is attentive to things such as wait times for meals, and my mom and I really appreciate the extra plate! I will always recommend Nasu for a delicious dining experience! ”

Lo mein and shrimp rice were delicious! Server really didn't check in with us after food was served. Summer juice drink was like candy. All so yummy!! ”

The hibachi chef more than made up for that by making the best fried rice! The sashimi entree was fabulous and arrived on a very cool "smoking" platter fresh and worth the wait. ”

I guess they like to load the tables up and cook all the portions at one time and then divey them up. Some folks had to wait extra long for the table to fill up. Everything tasted great. The place looks kind of dim which makes it romantic. They also serve alcohol. It's a great place to have a date night out to hang out without friends. ”

“ Decided to make the drive over and try a new (to us) hibachi restaurant. It did not disappoint! We sat in the regular dining room, as it was no wait to get a table. Nice ambiance here, easy to have a conversation, and nicely decorated. I ordered the tuna tataki for an appetizer, and my wife ordered the gyoza. Both were brought out quickly, and both were really good. For our entrees, the wife ordered the hibachi steak and shrimp, while I tried the filet and scallops. These came with soup and salads. I thought the salad was one of the best I have ever had at a hibachi restaurant. Very fresh, and their dressing was good. The soup was good also. Serving sizes were very good on our meals, and everything was cooked well, especially the veggies on the side for the hibachi meals. Will definitely come back here again, and absolutely worth checking out! ”

“ If you're looking for a dinner place for date night or family night, NASU will not disappoint. NASU occupies the previous Flip Daddy's stand alone building in Newport with a newly renovated modern look. The staff was accommodating with our reservation and service was prompt. Our hibachi chef was friendly and welcoming. I ordered steak and shrimp and it was fabulous. I was surprised how big the shrimp was because most restaurants provide you with the tiniest shrimp. But this place provided a generous amount of shrimp and the food portion was enough to make 2 meals out of it. If you love ginger, you e got to try their ginger sauce. Packed with tangy, sweet and salty flavors all at once. Love this place and will definitely be back. ”
